        Rehoboth Lodge, Meerkat Lodge

The ever changing Maluti Mountains form the backdrop to the beautiful setting of Rehoboth and Meerkat Lodges situated on Bethel Farm just a 5-minute drive from the vibrant village of Clarens. With the Little Caledon River, a stone’s throw away, these picturesque lodges are a perfect retreat for people wanting to get away from the city or, to enjoy their holidays within a safe, peaceful and tranquil environment.

                            The owners

Martin hails from Somerset in the United Kingdom and is a business man involved in the Mining Industry throughout Africa.

Linda, an Accountant, now running the lodges, was raised in Camperdown, Natal and moved to Johannesburg, where they later met and married.

They have four children, and three grandchildren, who are scattered throughout South Africa and often come to the Lodge for a visit.

Their desire to move back to the countryside, where their roots were formed, has driven them to look for the most perfect of places to settle for their retirement. Their energy and drive will ensure that Rehoboth and Meerkat Lodge’s history will be maintained for many years to come.
